Back in 2022 Covid-19 played havoc with our live performances, so we asked our rangatahi to make a series of short films. Each film was devised and developed by our young participants in collaboration with an amazing group of young graduates from the Yoobee Colleges South Seas Film School.
Then, on 19th November 2022, we presented the inaugural “Through the Roof” Film Festival in the Aotea Centre in Auckland. It was a magnificent day! You can enjoy all the films from our 2022 “Through the Roof” Film Festival by clicking the tiles below.
We’re very grateful to a number of organisations who supported this ambitious project including: The Potter Masonic Trust, Manatū Taonga, Auckland Live, Foundation North, Yoobee Colleges, Henderson-Massey Local Board, Papakura Local Board, and Auckland Council through the Creative Communities Scheme.
